Mtunzini Forest Lodge Self Catering Resort

“Great quality family time away from the busy city and work life!”

The resort features a large clean swimming pool, slides, a shallow pool, trampolines, a play area with braai/picnic facilities, a games room, and an awesome putt‑putt course—great for kids! The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.

The place kept my privacy, peace and quiet intact, and the daily cleaning was very thorough. The pool and slides were nice, but the room itself could use an upgrade.

“can't wait to go back :)”

We enjoyed a truly wonderful stay; the location is superb, surrounded by beautiful forests, birdlife, and stunning scenery. The pools and beach were fantastic, and the walking trails to the beach added extra charm. The cabin’s rustic vibe meshes perfectly with the forest, creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere—ideal for anyone wanting to reconnect with nature. We loved everything.

The location is great for walking, quiet, and easy beach access. However, the accommodation was too small for six people and urgently needs maintenance given its current condition. The bathroom is dilapidated and should be replaced immediately, and the hinges and locks also require prompt repair.

“Rustikale, gut ausgestattete Chalets am Dünengürtel”

Walking to the beach is a pleasant dune stroll, the small swimming pool is nice, and the rustic style offers good value for money. The sand beach is beautiful and wild, though it has no shade. The strong cleaning‑product smell was very penetrating, and on a wet day we had no way to hang damp clothes or towels to dry.
