Breakfast could have a few more choices

“Will not stay here again.”

The breakfast was mediocre, the bed was clean and okay, but the hall carpet smelled like deodorizer, the room had a musty odor, the bathtub was dirty, the shower curtain was dirty, the room looked shabby, and there was an empty roll left on the toilet paper holder.

“Clean comfortable beds and linens; basic amenities; old property”

The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean, and the water was good, but the older property had many minor maintenance problems: there was dirt behind the nightstand, the refrigerator didn’t work, some electrical plugs and lamps were loose, there were no USB or modern tech plugs, and Christmas lights were hanging loosely from the roof.

It was a typical US motel with a basic structure, but the rooms didn't smell entirely fresh, they felt a bit humid, and the coffee at breakfast wasn't very good.

I was cruising around searching for a Wyndham, so I assumed quality, but the big sign said Super 8 and a tiny line underneath claimed it was a Wyndham hotel—nothing like the booking photo. The place felt very outdated, and the rooms had no TV instructions or a restaurant guide. I tried to take a shower but couldn’t figure out how to turn it on, there was no handrail or safety straps at the bottom of the tub, and using my cane made it totally unsafe.
