The D Home was fairly clean and operated in a way that let guests be independent; the included amenities were minimal, only a hair dryer and a kettle, and the indirect hot water system was a bit odd. The lack of a proper front desk made it hard to reach staff when needed, and the absence of a private fridge or free bottled water made it feel bland.
