“A lovely historic hotel in need of restoration/repairs”

The spot is right in town, but on a Saturday night it was a nightmare because a group of diesel‑powered cowboys were blasting music loudly, making it impossible to enjoy the place.

The location works, the bar staff is friendly enough, and the food is good—no complaints there. Still, I dislike writing negative reviews, especially for budget spots where some flaws are expected, but this hotel feels utterly worn out; calling it decrepit fits better. The rooms look bleak and show obvious need for repairs: broken fittings, basin taps that don’t work, a fan that’s noisy, bathrooms and verandah access taped off, and buckets set up in corridors to catch water from roof leaks, among other problems.

“Comfortable and clean”

The place is well located, clean and tidy, and I didn't have any issues to mention.

Everything’s close by and the staff are great, but the crowd outside my window made a lot of noise in the morning, so I couldn’t sleep.
