“Pas cher et bien situé si on veut être au coeur de Rastoke. Propriétaire qui ne parle pas anglais.”
The place is clean and right in the heart of Rastoke. The owner makes an effort to greet you even if she isn’t there and even if you arrive outside the scheduled hours. It’s cheap: 50 euros per night. Rastoke itself is just a large, well‑kept garden and very pretty, but it doesn’t justify staying more than one night—or even staying overnight. You can see the whole place in a few hours, so think carefully before booking a room. The owner was nice but doesn’t speak English, so expect minimal interaction. What disappointed me was that all rooms have the same price even though they’re not identical. I paid the same as other guests even though my room was the least equipped: no TV (which didn’t bother me but I mention it for those who want one, as it wasn’t listed), no table or desk (only two bedside tables), no bed sheets, just a duvet. The toilets and shower are shared, which isn’t a problem because they’re very clean and well maintained. I still give it an 8/10, which is a good score, because if you know all this beforehand you avoid disappointment and surprise. In the end, it’s clean, inexpensive, well kept, and the owner, despite communication difficulties, is available and seems to do her best.
