Fireside Motel

Everything was perfect—pets allowed, 804 Trail nearby, the ocean view was amazing, the rooms were spotless, and the staff were courteous. Thank you, I’ll be back ☆☆☆☆☆

“Disappointed at The Fireside”

I stayed in a first‑floor room that had tea. We had been eager to revisit the Fireside after a fantastic stay nine years ago, and we’d booked well in advance for a special occasion, yet we were handed a room at the back of the motel, farthest from the ocean, under the stairs and next to the public bathroom. When I asked for a change, I was told I could cancel if I didn’t like it. We stayed three nights and were told there would be no room service unless we stayed for four nights! This was a very disappointing stay, and we won’t be returning.

The partial view was good, though not special, and the property sits right on the ocean. A 30‑minute walk takes you into town, and the room was a decent size. The pillows were too tall and didn’t compress.
