Super 8 by Wyndham Superior WI

It was okay. There is no elevator to the 2nd floor, and the carpet in the hallway and room is ugly. There’s no hot chocolate for breakfast, and the bathroom walls need repair.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast area seemed large enough for guests if they spaced out their time; a college athletic team was eating at the same time as we needed to, which overwhelmed the space. The variety of breakfast items was good. The facility is old and looks tired, and it isn’t clear that it’s not accessible if booked on the second floor.

I wasn’t sure why there was syrup but nothing to put it on. More choice of granola bars would be nice.

“Excellent place to stay while checking out this beautiful area! Comfy bed!”

The lady who checked me in was very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent—easy to use, with a handheld head. The bed was comfy and I slept soundly. The lady who checked me out was overly eager; I had a trolley with my stuff, planning to return to the room, grab some breakfast, then check out. She asked if I was checking out, as if I was leaving with the trolley instead of checking out. I told her I’d be back in a minute and followed my original plan.

The room was nice, but it’s the only Super 8 I’ve ever paid $250 for. Check‑in was extremely cumbersome, and breakfast was just toast and coffee—definitely not worth the price. Check‑in, price, breakfast
