The bathing facilities were fine and you didn't have to worry about timing. However, hygiene was inadequate: ① the futon was itchy; ② there was no manager present—no one to consult; ③ the hallway had piles of trash ready to be thrown away; ④ sheets and other items from previous guests were stacked in places where the next guest would see them; ⑤ the building was noticeably old and lacked a sense of cleanliness; ⑥ a washlet is considered essential these days; ⑦ hair was found on the bedding.

It offered good value for money. Since the value matched the price, there was no extra cost.

“お得でした”

It was an old-fashioned ryokan, but the TV and toilet seat were modern. The only downside was that there was no Wi‑Fi.

The dust inside the room was insane; as soon as I entered, my daughter and I couldn't stop sneezing. When I turned off the lights and used a flashlight, dust floated everywhere. By 12 am I had no choice but to leave. This was the worst experience I've had on any trip.
