The hotel's location was its best feature, making it easy to get around.
The rooms were overpriced
I loved the view of the lively square

“Hôtel fermé”
The hotel was closed.
I was shocked to find that the hotel was closed when I arrived, despite its central location. The restaurant that was supposed to provide me with the keys was also closed, and I had to contact the hotel to find a solution. This was a major inconvenience, and I would advise others to exercise caution when booking this hotel.
Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was marred by several issues, including the lack of toilet paper, poor soundproofing, and a lack of safety for solo female travelers. While these problems were significant, I hope that the hotel will take steps to address them and provide a better experience for future guests.
“Arnaque”
Warning: this place has been listed as sold for over three months, yet it still appears on the booking site and can be booked. Don’t be fooled—if you end up reserving it, you’ll never get a response, not even for a refund or a solution. I was lucky enough to find the owners’ contact through their second hotel, the Calyso in Fos-sur-Mer, which is just as shabby as this one, but that’s beside the point. When I called them after tracking down the number, they sneered and asked where I got it, saying they had no solution for me and that I’d have to sort it out myself since they didn’t receive the money directly. After a long back‑and‑forth with the booking site and filing a complaint that eventually targeted the owners for not understanding the booking terms, they finally replied, but only after I threatened to post my comment on their other hotel so they could see it.
I came to sleep there and managed to get a decent rest, though the hotel attracts a rough crowd, lacks soundproofing, and the bed is a single with a stool used as a nightstand instead of a proper bedside table. Still, for the price, it’s somewhat acceptable.
