“Beautiful property which needs renovation and better solutions for hot summer days”

We booked a twin room on the ground floor, yet it turned out to be in a side building with doors opening directly into the courtyard; the doors couldn't close properly and there was no sun screen, so the afternoon sun at 35 °C made it unbearable. No air‑con or adequate fans, and the room was left with cobwebs and dust. We asked for a different room in the main building and received one facing east, which was slightly better, but it still lacked air‑con and stayed very hot; a stronger fan helped a bit. The property is very old and not well renovated.

The welcome was warm, the restaurant delicious, and breakfast very high quality, but I didn’t understand whether pets were allowed or not.

“Ein außergewöhnliches Hideaway, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.”

The house is very charmingly furnished, wonderfully cosy with a family‑like atmosphere, and the staff are extremely friendly; the park is a dream, a place to relax and find peace or be pampered in the restaurant. I can’t really criticize anything, because creaking floorboards and an authentic, castle‑worthy décor are genuinely authentic and wonderfully romantic.
