“Von außen nett, von innen einfach bäh”
The staff are very friendly and try to help as best they can despite the language barrier. The houses look cute from the outside, have enough space and their own water dispenser. Before leaving we were able to store luggage after checkout and refill water in one of the free, better rooms. That is where the picture of the bathroom comes from – it is luxury compared to what we had, I really didn’t want to take any photos of ours. The location is somewhere in nowhere, to the white crater, the main attraction of the area, you still have to take a bus and it is not within walking distance because the area is very hilly. The rooms look nice at first glance, but upon closer inspection they are dusty and only superficially cleaned, probably cleaned briefly 5 minutes before and never again. The bed and the doors creak enormously, sleeping together in bed steals at least one person’s sleep. Light is very sparse in the room in the evening, the mornings are too light. We arrived late at night and couldn’t fall asleep because we hear traffic outside and woke up early because of the sun and construction noise, no restful night. The bathroom was simply disgusting. We preferred not to shower. The toilet must be flushed manually, that is, a bucket of water and a scoop, because the flush on the toilet falls apart. The sink is small and in the room. Why not in the bathroom itself? In the “hotel” there are more locals who want to party over the weekend, it seems suitable for that. Bottom line: If you don’t care about hygiene and don’t need quiet sleep, you can use this as a budget accommodation. Otherwise definitely not.
