“Lovely Room with Incredibly Kind Host”
I booked Bloc Guesthouse at the last minute and the host was quick to respond, making sure my room was ready when I arrived. The room was the right size for a solo traveler and very tidy. The host greeted me immediately, showed me around, cooked a homemade breakfast, and sent a list of Langkawi recommendations, which was very thoughtful. Their effort to go above and beyond and get to know guests is evident. When I left early the host carried my heavy suitcase to the taxi. It was an amazing, peaceful place to stay.

Breakfast was unique and delicious. Mr. Bell provided great service. The location is so peaceful and chill. If more wall plugs beside the bed could be added it would be even better.

Everything! The accommodation was clean, peaceful, well equipped and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to Cenang yet quiet. Bell was an absolutely wonderful host: incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything, from scooter rental to restaurant and beach recommendations. He even prepared two complimentary breakfasts for us, showing genuine care and love for everything. Bell truly made our stay special! Honestly, nothing else! Everything was perfect. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.
The location was super quiet and Bell was very nice and helped us with everything. Breakfast was also a highlight and very tasty. Highly recommended.

I’ve visited Langkawi 11 times staying at well-known hotels, but this time I went solo for something new. Mr. Bel was an outstanding host, delivering the tastiest breakfasts each morning and acting like a friend who updates you on weather and local events. Poppy, the neighbor’s cat, visited daily and won me over even though I’m not a cat person. The room and facilities were excellent, and the location made me feel part of the whole experience. For an influencer vibe, go elsewhere; for a genuine Langkawi experience, stay at Bloc. The property sits in a beautiful natural setting with hens and roosters. Mr. Bel kept me informed about the reliable rooster wake‑up call and other reminders. I appreciated living in a truly alive place. Nearby properties add to the rural feel, and while the site is a 20‑minute walk to Cenang or Tengah—potentially a hurdle for those who want everything nearby—the walk or scooter ride through real life rather than a brochure is refreshing. Mr. Bel was a perfect bridge between guests and the island, and I’ll return. Thank you, Mr. B. My leaving was a bit stressful; I traveled in low season and many nearby restaurants were only open intermittently, but the mini‑mart and coffee shop at Bloc’s entrance were open, and Cenang was fully operational with great massages for the end of the day.
