The room was adorable, the hotel felt like home, it was clean and spacious, and the location was superb—just a 2‑minute walk to the pier for SML boats and a 6‑7 minute walk to the bus station for Taipei, Alisan, or Chiayi (faster without luggage). Despite being in a tiny village in a very touristy area, the hotel pleasantly surprised us and we enjoyed our stay greatly. Apologies for the poor photo.

The shower was placed in a very odd spot, making it super awkward to use.

We were upgraded to a better room, and the location near the boat dock and the lake made cycling around the water a breeze.
