We chose this bed and breakfast for a unique, off-the-beaten-path experience during our Cali trip. The host was refreshingly upfront that this is not a pristine or sterile environment — think camping, but with indoor sleeping quarters. We stayed in the family room with a shared bathroom, and our toddler absolutely loved the chickens and cat roaming the property! The views were beautiful, and the staff we interacted with were genuinely warm and friendly. Breakfast was a lovely homemade touch — fresh-baked muffins, instant oatmeal with dried fruit extras, and a Keurig with coffee options. Our little one was in heaven with the animals on the property, which made the stay extra memorable for our family. The shared restroom had a 15-minute time limit, and with no mirrors in the room, it was tough to organize showering and getting ready — especially with a family. Spider webs were everywhere, not just in high corners but on hand railings too, so if that's a concern for you, this may not be the best fit. We also found the driveway tight and parking tricky with our lifted truck — so if you're bringing a larger vehicle, that's something to keep in mind

The vibe was amazing, and the host—what a lovely lady—really made us feel welcomed; we appreciated her meticulous attention to detail, though we mistakenly took a key and would like to return it.

The room was very private and comfortable, and both of us slept well; it’s a great place to lay your head down at night and feel safe, plus the price was good, but the restroom—especially the shower stall—needs a serious cleaning, and don’t expect a proper breakfast.

The natural surroundings were a highlight; the only thing to note is the hours of the continental breakfast.
