The view is beautiful and the staff is very attentive, but the access is awkward, the bathrooms were dirty, the bed was extremely hard, the cleanliness wasn’t the best, and there was no water.

Nothing good to say – the hostel was filthy, nobody ever helped us, and the location is awful with no beach in sight. To even reach it we had to wade through a broken creek because the bridge was out, so we left that afternoon without ever stepping into the room.

“Terrible”

The room was a nightmare – under the bed and the fan you could see grime everywhere, like they’d never heard of a mop or broom. We’d already paid before we got upstairs, and when I complained the staff member politely called the manager who only offered a one‑night refund, even though we’d only been in the room for three minutes. Felt like a total rip‑off.

The view is stunning and the lighting feels right for a place that’s out in the middle of nowhere. On the downside the door didn’t have any lock at all, and the food on site is pretty pricey.

The bed is huge, and the price‑to‑value ratio is solid. Don Victor is a genuinely friendly host, and if you enjoy hanging out with other travelers, soaking up a privileged view, and eating decent food without breaking the bank, this spot hits the mark.
