Overall, the hotel is decent: the room is clean, has everything needed for staying. But we will definitely not return. There are several major drawbacks. First, water is brought in 0.5 L bottles, and notice that the bottles have no factory seal. It seems like the water is simply poured into reused bottles. I consider this unhygienic and unsafe, because you cannot know if someone else drank from that bottle. Just put coolers on the floors and pitchers in the rooms and that’s it. Second, there is practically no sound insulation. Everything that happens behind the door and in adjacent rooms can be heard, so it is almost impossible to sleep well. Also in the morning the room smells like food, probably from the kitchen. And separately, I’d like to point out the unpleasant situation at check‑in. We were persistently asked to pay for the stay in cash, explaining that the hotel owner had left and they need to pay for water, so they only accept cash. At the same time they offered me to go to an ATM in the evening, even though I was with two children. This situation left a very unpleasant impression. I definitely will not return. For that money, in my opinion, it’s better to rent a good business‑class apartment where there will be more comfort and privacy.

I liked the location, the room size was quite adequate. There were robes, water, tea. The room was untidy, the cleaning was done poorly, the blanket had unwashed stains. The sound insulation was good, all footsteps, all drunken conversations could be heard.

I was thrilled with my stay at Green Hill Hotel in Almaty; the place felt clean, cozy, and peaceful. The room was comfortable and fully equipped. I especially appreciated the polite, attentive staff who were always ready to help and answer questions. The pool and sauna were great ways to unwind after a busy day. Overall, it’s an excellent spot for a relaxing break. Thanks to Green Hill Hotel for the hospitality, and I’ll definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Almaty.
