Beautiful New 4 Bed 3 Bath Home 1 BR Apt Near Howard U NW DC

“Beautiful spacious well equipped property”

Plenty of room, decent shower, really clean and tidy and super friendly and helpful host!. The property was a secure basement flat, above being the main house which was also let out - the foot traffic above was exceptionally noisy at times

I loved having 2 separate sleeping areas. We were also 6 houses down from a police station. So the parking. I do now that if we had the whole house or upper level we would if had parking spot. We were told to park out front. That never happen we had a truck and the street are very small. We did find a parking lot we could keep the truck. This parking spot was with in walking distance. My husband and I did this walk several times

“Miserable.”

The location to the metro was good. It was a basement unit. It’s advertised as a New 4 bedroom 3 bath or one bedroom with no opportunity to select one or the other unit. I thought I was getting the bigger unit with plans to invite family to visit but was given the one bedroom dungeon. It was small, worn out with rickety furniture. Flys and mosquitos swarmed us as we entered the unit and came inside even when we rushed and swatted at them. We killed many insects inside. There was no way to control the temperature inside and it was freezing…I had to wear a sweater and vest or wrap up in a blanket to be warm. The kitchen vent had no louvers to air blew in your face when eating at the island and sitting on the couch…I assume the upstairs people set the temperature. And I could hear the upstairs people in their kitchen, in the bathroom that was above the kitchen, and clomping down their stairs. The entry steps were very narrow and I could barely for myself and a carryon size suitcase down and up. The landing at the door had concrete blocks which were wobbly. There was no smoke/carbon monoxide detector…just exposed wires in the ceiling. Only the upstairs people got the advertised parking space so I had on street parking which was zoned. When I asked to get a visitors pass so I didn’t need to worry about being towed, I was given the web site but no code to get a pass so couldn’t get one. Parking was usually challenging but fortunately I rarely moved my car. I was very happy when it was time to leave this place and could be done killing insects and getting mosquito bites

“It was a good stay overall”

Great Location! Central to different parts of DC! Comfortable space to stay in! Host communicated the whole time!. The back gate was a bit confusing to navigate but overall no other issues
