A warm welcome from Ibrahim, the manager, and the staff, a beautiful lake view, a quiet spot yet close to town, and dinner at Pension Charly with Donna Mae’s attentive and friendly service. A cooking plate in the kitchenette would be a nice addition.

The location is solid, the room comes with a washing machine, and there’s a rooftop spot for breakfast. The place looks a bit worn, especially the shower area, and the kitchen only had cups, no crockery or cutlery.

Breakfast is outstanding, with an incredible view, and the staff are very kind. They also offer a guide for the St Paul trail.

The spot sits nicely midway between the town and the peninsula’s end. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on that, but the room is lovely with huge windows overlooking the water. A great overnight stay.
