Hayley and John are wonderful hosts! The room was beautiful and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and this is the perfect spot in Shanklin – we saw the sunrise just a short 10‑minute walk to the beach.

I’ve been to Ryedale twice now and it keeps proving to be a lovely place. The train stop is right next to the hotel, and the bus stops are just a short walk away, which made getting around a breeze. My room was immaculate and fully equipped, and John & Hayley were incredibly friendly and helpful. The décor is well maintained and the whole place feels welcoming. Breakfast was solid and got me ready for a big Saturday walk along part of the Island’s coastal path. I definitely plan to come back. The only downside was a bit of street noise from pedestrians and traffic at the front in the evenings; I usually sleep with the windows open, so that’s understandable.

Hayley and John greeted us warmly, making the stay feel like a home away from home. Breakfast was outstanding, and the location was spot-on for everything we needed. We’re already planning a return to Ryedale and have told family and friends about it.

The hotel blends modern style with a touch of old‑world charm. It’s spotlessly clean and tidy, and the rooms and beds are very comfortable. Getting to bus stops, the town centre, and Shanklin beach is a breeze.

Parking was free, and the cooked breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of options. The beach and promenade are just a short walk away. The hotel itself was immaculate and spotless, and the beds were comfy for a good night’s sleep. The hosts were excellent and handled everything with ease. I would definitely recommend it.
