The staff were extremely kind and careful, the room was surprisingly large, and the place is gorgeous (beautiful and calm). We should have spent more time in this place.

The staff were good. The room was damp. It is outside the regular public transport route, so it’s not very flexible for getting around. There were limited options for check‑in times.

The bath was very pleasant (onsen). Adjusting the shower was difficult.

I felt like I was halfway up the mountains, the place was very quiet and the rooms were spacious. The staff were very friendly and everything was spotless. However, the hotel advertises an onsen, but when you book you’re told it’s unavailable because of low water supply. The room was clean, but they never cleaned it as promised every day at lunch time. Apart from that, everything else was fine, but the price doesn’t match the quality – it’s too expensive for what you get.

The room was large, the staff were very kind, and the breakfast was generous. This traditional ryokan was exactly what we were looking for!
