The location is good. When I arrived, one mattress and pillow were still dirty, another bed wasn’t set up, and there was no room key. Even though there was no air‑conditioning, there was also no fan or anything else.

The reception, parking, shaded terrace with plane trees, and the large bed were all great.

The room was truly spacious, as was the bathroom. The manager went out of his way to help a guest even on a closed day by opening the hotel’s door—he wasn’t obliged to. Dining options include breakfast, a bar, a restaurant, and a nice terrace that’s pleasant when the weather’s good (plus a beverage dispenser for midnight cravings). The location is just next to the French border. I missed the shutters and was woken by the sun, and I also forgot a Swiss plug adapter; the voltage is 220 V with two‑pin sockets, which works fine, but earth‑grounded plugs don’t fit.

Nice architecture, good food, and large rooms. In previous years the rooms could have been better maintained.
