The warm welcome, the beautiful main lodge with its stunning view of the waterhole, the lovely rooms, everything was very clean, the food was delicious, and the game drives were great. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Rhino Plains feels like a little piece of heaven. Carol’s staff members are gems. The game drives were excellent. Solly had deep knowledge and love for the bush, eager to share it with us. The lodge is beautiful and elegantly done. The meals were lovely, as beautiful to look at as to eat!

We picked this lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we couldn’t have chosen better. From the start, Carol, Solly, and Zolly welcomed us with warmth and genuine kindness that made us feel truly special. Carol even surprised us with a beautiful gift—a gesture that touched our hearts deeply. The care from the whole team is something we’ve never experienced anywhere else in the world. We’re already sure: if you want a place that goes far beyond accommodation and offers a truly meaningful experience, this is it. We’ll carry this memory with us forever. There is absolutely nothing to complain about; everything exceeded our expectations.

I stayed at this place and it was just perfect—peaceful, rooms were nice, service was top‑level, the Game Drives respected nature, the food was spot‑on, and everyone was welcoming. Nothing was lacking.

Solly, the tour guide, was fantastic—knowledgeable and eager to answer every question, and the rest of the team were friendly and constantly checking that we had what we needed. Watching the wildlife was unforgettable and worth doing at least once. On the downside, Carol, the owner, was extremely rude: she was impolite over text, unaccommodating when we arrived, and our driver had a bad experience with her before. Her lack of professionalism made me not recommend this place. Getting to the west gate required driving 10 miles down a very bumpy, dangerous road, which was scary and not worth it; you’d do better to choose a reserve with a main gate entrance and a more pleasant owner. The shower didn’t drain properly, so you had to fill the water up to your ankles, and the lock on our cabin was broken—yet we were the only guests that day and still ended up with that cabin.
