As I write this review, the urge to return to Kathkuni is hard to resist; from the serenity of the Cheog Valley to the scent of the wilderness, everything scores a 10/10. It’s a must‑do stay‑cation that will truly rejuvenate you.

I was drawn to the name “KathKuni” while searching for a quick weekend escape. The name refers to typical Himachali architecture with alternating layers of stone and wood. I especially appreciated the traditional design and the resort’s proximity to the NH. The property offers a separate indoor games area with carrom, chess, a pool table, and even a table‑tennis table, which I thoroughly enjoyed after many years. It was a totally enjoyable experience.

I recently checked into a vegetarian boutique hotel from the Jomotel group, and as a strict vegetarian, I was relieved that they really cared about my dietary needs. The stay was incredibly comfortable, surrounded by lush greenery in an orchard with a stunning valley view. The staff paid close attention to every little detail, and the rooms were cozy and beautiful, featuring wooden and stone accents, with breathtaking views right from the windows. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for peace and quiet away from city bustle.
