The host was very helpful and kind, and we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent conditions in the RV.

The setting was beautiful, but the location required a long drive on narrow mountain roads that were in rough shape.

The mountain view from the driveway was nice, but I don’t like leaving bad reviews, yet I feel it’s important to be honest. We booked this stay expecting a peaceful camper experience near Sequoia National Park, but it fell well short of what we anticipated. The location is very remote and requires navigating steep, winding roads that frequently narrow to one lane. While the mountain views are beautiful, there was nowhere to hike on site, no giant sequoias visible from the property, and the outdoor space was very small with a tree blocking most of the view. The furniture was quite rusted, and there were a number of pests during our stay, including a giant ant hill right outside the front door, two tarantulas, and a raccoon in the tree above the camper. The camper itself appeared worn. It was extremely hot when we arrived and stayed uncomfortable until early morning despite using the AC as instructed, and there was a persistent musty odor. Several areas of the floor were covered with plywood and rugs, and the camper noticeably shifted whenever we moved around. We were surprised to learn that toilet paper could not be flushed and had to be disposed of in a small bathroom bin – ick. The sleeping arrangements were not comfortable for a family; the “sofa bed” was essentially a fold‑out small loveseat suitable for a small child, while the other option was a single inflatable mattress. The bedding and towels were worn and rough. The host was friendly and responsive, but overall the condition of the camper, sleeping arrangements, heat, bathroom limitations, and outdoor setting made this feel much less comfortable and relaxing than expected. For us, a nearby hotel would have been a better choice.

The location was terrible and hard to reach. The structure was a caravan parked next to the owner’s house. Cleaning was nonexistent, with cobwebs and dust everywhere. Water was connected with a rubber hose from the owner’s house, and the shower had a leaking rubber hose that made it difficult to wash, forcing you to hold it in your hand. Ants were present. I gave up after the first night even though I had paid for a second, looking for accommodation elsewhere. For every need, the owner did not respond unless I knocked on his windows multiple times because he was completely barricaded inside his house.
