The family-run Auld Mill House Hotel, a 250-year-old building, offers free WiFi and parking. Located 200 metres from Halbeath Road, it's a 3-minute drive from junction 3 of the M90 motorway and 40 minutes from St Andrews. Each room features a TV, en-suite bathroom, and tea/coffee facilities. Dunfermline Queen Margaret Train Station is a 5-minute walk, with 25-minute connections to Central Edinburgh, and Knockhill Racing Circuit is a 15-minute drive away.

The place was really friendly and comfortable, and I loved how spacious the twin room was. I liked everything; knowing Edinburgh is a train ride, the distance was no problem for me.

The owner was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good, but the property does not serve food and there was noise from other rooms and the corridor.

This was an ideal short overnighter for Edinburgh Airport without paying the extortionate prices of airport hotels. Nothing was missing; everything we expected was delivered.
