The Braugasthof Trompete, in Eichstätt's Old Town, offers Bavarian and Mediterranean cuisine, a traditional beer garden, and free Wi-Fi. Located on the Altmühltal Cycle Route, it's 200m from the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Bright, soundproofed rooms, renovated in 2018, are available. A rich buffet breakfast and regional dishes are served, with cocktails at the bar, and free parking is available.

Breakfast was very good and the location is central.

The beds were good, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly. For rooms without a private bathroom there is only one toilet, one sink, and a small shower—everything feels a bit cramped.

The staff were very friendly and the food was good for the price, but the bike parking spots are cramped and right in front of the building’s technical area, which makes it hard to understand how this meets a Bed & Bike certification. The shower and toilet on the hallway are shared by four rooms, so for eight to twelve people they’re far too small, especially at night when someone apparently has stomach issues, which really opened our eyes to what to expect next time.

The bike rooms were simple and clean. The location is great, and the staff are very friendly and competent. The restaurant is highly recommended. The toilet/utility room for the bike rooms is a bit small.
