“Very pleasant stay wirh very friendly staff”

The beds were large and the shower was very nice, and the bar stayed open 24/7, but the hallway carpets looked very worn and old, though everything else was clean.

“Good”

The location was good, but the rooms were a bit too dark with no light.

The room was okay but tired, with really worn carpets; the staff were lacking, the breakfast area was dirty, and breakfast wasn’t available. I complained but received no contact from the reception manager, and the poor apprentice left holding the fort with no refund yet.

“It was just ‘ ok’”

The location was good for what we needed, but breakfast was poor on both days, we ran out of food, had to wait for more of everything, and it seemed unorganised and unprepared.

“Ok for one night to lay your head”

The reception staff were lovely and I had an iron and ironing board ready as requested; the room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, no water was provided in the bedrooms, and the tea/coffee supply was very stingy – only two cups each and not enough milk. There were no biscuits or toiletries, just liquid soap. The room had very little hanging space and felt a bit tired. Breakfast was awful, the worst I’ve ever had: the bacon, sausage and eggs were dried out, I had to scrape beans from the bottom of the tray, and the cold selections were terrible – only one croissant at a time and no pasties. I had to ask for spoons, milk, orange juice, and cups at 9 am, which felt like we were at the end of service. With only two staff, many tables stayed dirty.
