Pointe de Zinal

We stayed here while trekking the Haute Route and it was awesome. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. We’d definitely stay again if we get the chance. Zinal is such a beautiful village.

Very courteous and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is great, the room is quiet and well kept. Everything was fine for me.

“Perfect location for our walk. And spacious accomodation for the 8 of us.”

We stayed here during our 12‑day hike on the Walkers Haute Route. We had two rooms, each sleeping four. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were very clean. A staff member was really helpful and efficient, and they even have a small lounge where we could play cards after dinner. Breakfast was great. Since it was the end of the season, the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner, but there were plenty of options in Zinal. An amazing bakery a few doors down was great for lunch when we arrived, and takeaway sandwiches the next day.

“Salvo la llegada el resto todo bien.”

The staff at the front desk in the morning helped us with a problem and were very helpful. The person who attended us upon arrival (Portuguese) was not as good; we were riding a motorcycle in heavy rain, arrived late, and the guard at the hotel heard us coming (four motorcycles… hard to hear in such a quiet place) and recognized us but couldn't open the door while it was still raining, and the town had nothing open after a certain hour on that date, so there was no plan B. Luckily a nearby restaurant owner had the owner's phone and managed to open it for us. Total lack of empathy.
