“Really enjoyable, swaddled in comfort and beautiful art.”
The bed was extremely comfortable, even with a bad back, and I could adjust the room temperature via the radiator controls. Breakfast was lovely—just right for me, though it wasn’t a full cooked style. I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit, like strawberries, and the tea served in a handmade pottery cup and saucer from the owner. The place’s beauty is its real charm: it sits in a stunning spot, the building is lovely, my room was huge and full of character, and I felt very safe on my own. Walls everywhere were covered in fantastic artworks, which appealed to me as an artist and I wasn’t disappointed—what a treat. The people were friendly, and the cuddly cat was a bonus. If you appreciate something beautiful and unique, this is a great spot to stay, and I would definitely return. The TV didn’t work when I arrived; they fixed it, but I’d have liked it checked beforehand. They did take the trouble to put me in a room with a walk‑in shower, which was really helpful; otherwise, I might have been given a different room. It’s not a big deal—this isn’t a premier inn but a small B&B, and I doubt it will happen again.
