The place was new, clean, and had a nice river view, yet there was nothing to do nearby and the pasta sauce tasted more like sweet chilli jam than tomato.

The room was roomy with a balcony overlooking the Mekong, and breakfast was varied, but a sewage smell in the bathroom and a faulty hot‑water tap caused a major leak.

It’s a solid hotel that does what it’s supposed to do and offers a good night’s stay, with nothing to complain about.

The location on the Mekong was fantastic, the view from our room and balcony across the river was amazing—especially at sunrise—rooms were clean and spacious, the two infinity pools overlooking the river were beautifully kept, staff were very attentive and hardworking, and the food choices were very good, but the price was high and it was more expensive than higher‑quality hotels we’d stayed at in Southern Laos.
