“Une agréable alternative aux hotels à "charter"”

We spent five quiet nights at this hotel just below Ortahisar’s center, along the Balkan valley whose cliffs light up at night. It welcomes both Turkish tourists and foreign travelers, which makes the breakfast variety—lots of veggies, fruit, cheese, and even the option to order a fried or poached egg—very pleasant, though you shouldn’t arrive too early to try it. The only downside was the steep price for a rather mediocre bottle of wine at the restaurant, but that doesn’t lower the hotel’s solid 9/10 rating.

“Entspannte Tage in einem ungewöhnlichen Haus”

The atmosphere was cozy, a nice contrast to the tourist hub of Göreme, and our room was very comfortable. The charming courtyard was great for an outdoor breakfast, and the food was good; the chef is excellent! With a car, all natural wonders and rock churches are easily reachable. The only issue was a dripping siphon in the bathroom—just hang a sign asking the staff to fix it, otherwise it won’t be addressed.

“It was good”

The food was solid, but the location really let me down.

The place was spotlessly clean, the room was spacious and matched the description, and the breakfast was generous and tasty. On the downside, the wardrobe was too small and there were only a few hand‑holds. The staff spoke little English. The breakfast (still very rich and excellent!) stayed the same every day. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were not.
