“Para nada fue lo que esperaba.”

The staff greeted us warmly and were friendly. The bonfire helped create a cozy night, and they offered us some chocolates. However, the listing didn’t match what was actually offered: the owner didn’t know what was available, there was no movie night or nighttime entertainment, and the rooms lacked TV. One room had two doors, one of which couldn’t close because the latch was broken—this caused distrust and zero privacy. The bathroom had no lock, which is fine for couples but uncomfortable for families. There was no play area, just a small soccer ball; no board games were offered, and the billiard table was supposedly 5 minutes away, but at 9 pm it was unsafe to go out due to wildlife. Many dogs were left loose, and the kids were on the outdoor tables. They advertised massages that weren’t actually available on site, instead directing guests elsewhere. The kitchen staff were polite but seemed overworked; for breakfast, we requested it at 10:15 am, they said it would be ready in 50 minutes, yet it wasn’t served until 12 pm, almost two hours late, and a dish was omitted until 12:15 pm. In short, only visit if you want to be far from civilization (about 40 minutes from Valle de Bravo’s center) and ride horses, as that’s basically all they offer and it’s a bit pricey.

“An unforgettable stay, we can’t wait to return.”

We absolutely loved our stay at Rancho El Reencuentro. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel incredibly welcome, and their attention and warmth truly stood out. The food was outstanding, thanks to Chef George—every meal was a highlight. We also enjoyed a fantastic horseback riding experience with Javi, which made our visit even more special. Antelmo’s exceptional service and attention to detail made a real difference throughout. Our two‑year‑old daughter adored the place, especially the horses; it was beautiful to see her so happy and connected with nature. I could keep writing about this wonderful family experience, but honestly, it’s something you should experience for yourself. Highly recommended. We didn’t find anything to dislike; everything exceeded our expectations. The only downside was not having enough time to fully enjoy everything this amazing place has to offer. We truly wish we could have stayed longer and are already looking forward to coming back very soon.

The vibe and décor were great, but the place is far from the city center and the route to get there is tricky; nothing nearby.

The people working there were very nice. The location is extremely far away from civilization. The description and photos are a bit misleading; you end up arriving at the place and feeling completely deceived. The activities that are actually what make the place "valuable" are all charges separate and extremely expensive, so it would be 100 times better to stay somewhere else, go to this place if you want to do any activity, and then go back to your nicer hotel to stay and feel safe and comfortable. They also mention it's pet-friendly, but they never mention there are 10 dogs living there already, who are not very friendly with other dogs. Plus, the place is so rural, it becomes unsafe for your dogs. My dog fell from the second floor because there was a piece of floor without actual flooring
