284 - Room 4 - Beachfront

The room was lovely and peaceful, the property stayed clean, and I would stay again; the beach is right opposite the property, which made for a pleasant morning stroll.

The location is close to the beach, everything was clean, and there were no hassles, but the check‑in was too late and the check‑out was too early.

“Dirty filthy bedding, locked in the house, put at risk”

I avoided Room 4 after the disgusting experience in Room 1 the week before and asked for a refund. I didn’t even finish my stay in Room 1, leaving a day early. I couldn’t get into the property on arrival; a female staff member had to come to let me in because the code didn’t work, and I waited in the hot sun for her. The room had a large TV on top of a chest of drawers, which I needed space for my things; I moved it, and it fell off its stand. The staff later falsely claimed I had broken the TV, a fabrication to avoid refunding me for their awful behavior. I was waiting for an Amazon delivery after a day or two. Noise from outside made me look out; the front door was open and people were inside. A man and a woman from Brazil were there, the man was angry and needed the toilet, and he seemed affected in some way. I told the staff about them because they wanted to talk to her. They asked if I was the property manager on the translator, then went into the lounge. The man used the toilet several times and stormed out angrily. It was unclear if they were allowed inside; the front door had been left ajar. I messaged the property manager about my concerns, and the manager apparently told the people I was worried, putting my safety at risk. I was shown a message saying the Brazilian woman called me “vain.” I felt mortified that the host had created a bad feeling between me and the intimidating guests. I didn’t feel safe. Everything was bad, but the worst was the property managers’ attitude, trying to get me in trouble with other guests and endangering me. The bedding was disgusting and dirty, I was locked in and couldn’t get out, I was falsely accused of breaking their TV stand—though it should have been wall‑mounted, and if the stand was supposed to be attached it was clearly broken before I arrived because the TV was balanced on the stand on the dresser and not attached. They agreed to refund me but have not done so.

“Uncomfortable”

The place is close to the centre, but it smelled really old, was tiny, not really clean, and the shower didn’t work properly.
