“Amazing, original and authentic place.”

After a full day’s drive from Sicily, we arrived at this amazing countryside retreat in the late afternoon; the three suites/flats feature unique bathrooms, a nice kitchen, dining area, and living room, and the renovation kept the rustic style while adding tasteful authentic décor—definitely a place to return to and use as a base for exploring Brindisi, Lecce, and Matera, with good markets nearby on Sundays.

We spent four nights at Masseria Celano with a couple of friends and from the moment we arrived we felt a genuine, family‑like vibe. Andrea, the host, is fantastic—he loves his countryside deeply and shares that passion in everything he does, paying close attention to making guests’ stays special. The staff are kind, spontaneous, and always ready to help. The rooms are meticulously prepared, equipped with everything needed for comfort, and the surroundings exude a refined, refined atmosphere while staying true to the authentic countryside and masseria spirit. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our days: convivial, relaxed, and full of high‑quality, genuine products. The wine and organic oil tasting from the estate was also beautiful, both truly excellent. At Masseria Celano you connect with the countryside, its rhythms, its flavors, and especially with the people who live it passionately—a genuine experience we’ll carry with us and recommend to others.

It was a paradise on earth, far from civilization, and owner Andrea was great, giving us everything we needed. The cake topping had sweet figs growing around. The only downside was the weak Wi‑Fi signal.
