Dinner at the on‑site restaurant was good and reasonably priced, while the standard breakfast buffet was adequate. The advertising featuring D‑Mark prices, however, does not reflect the atmosphere of the property.

“Gute Unterkunft mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis”

I chose this place because it offers a free parking space for car arrivals and a good public‑transport link (the train station is about 500 m on foot) to both Lake Constance and Switzerland for day trips. The breakfast was tasty with a good selection, and the staff were consistently cheerful and friendly. The only downside was that the mattress felt a bit saggy and personally too soft.

“Preisleistungsverhältnis war gut”

The room was clean and the breakfast was good; the under‑floor area was also easily reachable. The value for money was solid, and my room turned out better than I expected. The mattress in room 41 was saggy.

Exactly what you expect from a German inn: a good bed, traditional cuisine, and friendly staff. The bathroom with the toilet was extremely small.

“Nicht im Sommer buchen.”

That was the hottest night of my life—in a bad way. There was no air conditioning, and the south‑facing window was open at check‑in, so the room temperature was about 35 °C. Cooling only started around 3 a.m. because the whole building side had heated up. It might be fine in winter, but definitely not in summer. The bathroom also seems to date from the 1970s.
