The studio was well-equipped and clean, offering good value, but it wasn’t meant for cooking—just for heating food. Milfred sent many helpful messages, yet none of mine got a reply, especially when I asked for a dishcloth. Milfred’s sister offered to take me to the Jardin de Balata. The studio was a small basement unit next to an open garage, with terrible internet and the Wi‑Fi barely worked through a TP‑Link; I couldn’t watch TV or use my phone much. The bath towel smelled bad.

When I arrived, I could never get in touch with them; I kept calling and got no response, so I had to find another place to stay—totally unpleasant.

The studio was spotless and the area was calm, but the main door let in a terrible wind noise; the bed and pillows smelled oddly unpleasant and also need replacement. Walking from downtown to the hill where the studio sits takes at least 1 hour and 30 minutes, and public transport is a nightmare, especially in the evenings with almost no service.
