The large bed and included breakfast were great, yet the temple next door made early‑morning noises that startled us in the middle of the night—something we wish we'd known beforehand—and overall the cleaning needs improvement.

The location was perfect for accessing the waterfall site, the staff were super helpful and always ready to give information, and the breakfast view from the Rooftop was beautiful with good value; however, a deeper cleaning would have been welcome, and the room was a bit dark.

The hosts offered us accommodation at their second hotel with a quieter street, which we appreciated; the room was clean and decent, and the hotel rooftop was genuinely enjoyable.

The place is well situated, the breakfast is very good, and the rooftop terrace charges extra for a view of the active Mount Semeru volcano, making it a perfect spot to explore all nearby waterfalls.

The staff let me check‑in at night, stopped smoking downstairs when I complained about smoke entering my room, and took me to another hotel the next morning when I couldn't find a driver; the Muezzin speakers were close and started at 4 am, lasting 1.5 hours, and a phone alarm from staff rang for 10 minutes; smoke seeped into my room at 5 am, the sink was broken, the bidet leaked flooding the bathroom, mold was present, the bedsheets were cheap, and overall it was not worth the price—same money could get great rooms in Yogyakarta.
