Riverside Lodge at Chimney Rock

“Great stay, clean room, walk to shops & resturants”

The balcony overlooking the river was a highlight, but the interior lighting felt too dim.

“We enjoyed the staff, they were very attentive to any thing we ask… places to eat things to do.”

We really enjoyed the property, it was close enough to walk to the shops, and we even spotted bears every night during our stay.

The setting was beautiful, and even though there were still recovery projects underway in the area, our stay was very good; the walls between rooms weren't well insulated, so I bought ear plugs to solve the problem, and the owners mentioned possibly installing white noise makers in the rooms to address this.

Room #5 sat on the corner with a small balcony, offering wonderful views of the top of Chimney Rock; we wanted to stay a second night but the rate had almost doubled even though it was still mid‑week, and when we drove by later that evening they still hadn't re‑rented our room, meaning they missed out on making money.
