Superb Caravan At Dovercourt Park, Sleeps 8 Ref 44202C

“Good chalet, sizable, the heating, and hotwater, pleasant outlook”

The chalet was spacious and comfortable, and I appreciated that the heating was timed and the shower delivered a good flow of hot water, but the badly stained lounge carpet and grubby window and door left a poor impression.

“Family friendly park but probably wouldnt return.”

The location is great for the coastal path and beach, the lounge is spacious, and parking is nearby. The bathrooms needed a deeper clean, and only one baking tray and a worn‑out oven control made cooking almost impossible. It was fine for the few nights we stayed, but you’d have to bring your own cooking gear if you plan to cook more.

“Terrible caravan”

Terrible. Filthy carpets , bed bug on dirty sofas , outside by the entrance unsafe and me and my daughter fell a few times getting into the caravan , very noisy , problem with the shower sink as it wouldn’t drain, no electricity for the fist night then we go cut off for the second night. The fire alarm was making squeaky noises which means it wasn’t working . Really : it shouldn’t be advertised unless it’s safe for the purpose ! Plus we had to pay extra for the swimming pool and entertainment, and for even using the Tv . No bed sheets ! I paid £173 for 2 nights for me and my teenager and I want a full refund !

“The carpet was heavily stained. No washing up bowl or plug in kitchen. The cooker top was filthy.”

The lounge carpet was filthy, there was no washing‑up bowl or sink plug, so Goddusters had to bring a bowl. The cooker top was disgusting, the TV kept showing a blank screen or a Wi‑Fi ad, and the control box was incompatible. The fridge‑freezer needed a deep clean and defrost and was rusty. There was no toilet brush to clean both toilets, and mould was in the bottom of the shower. I took photos of these complaints. Finally, we were charged for two dogs even though the arrival letter said the owner only allowed one dog in the van—at no point did I say I only had one dog. We didn’t stay the three nights we booked and left early Friday evening.

I was thoroughly impressed with the caravan's cleanliness and the ideal, quiet location that suited our needs perfectly. The beds had mattress protectors, and the quilts and pillows were spotless. Having two toilets was a bonus, especially with children in tow. However, I was concerned about the large hole in the ground right at the base of the steps leading to the front door, which posed a significant safety risk.
