Islanda Resort Hotel

“Gut aber sehr viel Luft nach oben.”

The location offered an insane view, but the toilet seat holder was completely broken and, although other guests noted it, it never got replaced; the mattress seemed as old as the hotel itself—about 15 years and totally worn out. The air‑conditioning only worked half the time, and while the staff were eager, they ran out of steam quickly when more than three items were ordered, inevitably missing one, but that’s just how it went.

“Generalnie nie polecam tego obiektu, jest sporo tańszych i lepszych miejsc na Koh Mak”

The pool gives a stunning view and the bathrooms have been freshly renovated, which is a high standard for Asia. Everything else feels like it needs a facelift and the price is too high for what you get. The hotel’s heyday is long over, breakfasts are very basic, and Wi‑Fi didn’t work in our ground‑floor room, probably because it was far from the router. The air‑conditioning was so loud we couldn’t sleep and we left early, as did several other tourists. The beach is reached by a hill descent and isn’t the best on this beautiful island. If you enjoy walks, you’ll find interesting spots within 20 minutes, but you’ll have to climb back up the hill.

“Perfect relaxing hideaway stay.”

The stay was great – a cozy little hotel that feels like a hideaway with a fantastic view. The restaurant serves tasty food and room service is available, so don’t hesitate to order. The infinity pool is stunning. The property is small, but if you’re looking for a secluded spot it’s perfect. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The spacious bedroom was a highlight, and I loved the ocean and pool view from the room. The area was very quiet, which was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The breakfast was truly exceptional, with a great selection of both buffet and à la carte options.
