Astrid’s welcome was exceptional, as if we had known her for 20 years. The setting is beautiful, right in the middle of fields and farms, not far from Fribourg, Gruyère, or Bern, and the highway brings you there quickly. Nothing was lacking; everything was great.

A genuine Swiss farm experience with cows wearing bells and stunning views, all wrapped in old‑style charm. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and delicious, and the host was genial. The property is a bit run down in spots, somewhat chaotic and messy—though that didn’t bother us, it might surprise other guests. We felt it was a little overpriced compared to a lakeside room in Lucerne, which was cheaper.

The breakfast was very good, featuring local products, and the welcome was very warm. The setting is very quiet, away from everything. The downside was the ground‑floor toilets, which were noisy at night due to people moving around (we’re not very young anymore!).
