“Fine but heavily overpriced”

The room and bed were fine, the lockers were good, and you could use a free bike or buy water there; there’s plenty of outdoor seating. The service was just okay. It’s a walk from the beach but close to a bus stop. It’s definitely overpriced, though it’s the cheapest option I found in Himarë. It feels more like a party hostel, which wasn’t really my thing. The free breakfast only includes bread, jam, and boiled eggs.

“El Hostel!”

The communal vibe here is fantastic – you’re constantly sharing trips, meals and stories, and the staff and volunteers make it feel like a real hub for experiences. The crew is genuinely enthusiastic and always ready to help. The only thing that bugged me was the lack of a mirror in the bathroom, though I guess sometimes it’s better not to see yourself.

“Viajera solitaria de 40 rejuveneciendo”

The team – Maga, Ana, Klavis and Marcelo – are absolute workhorses and super friendly, and the manager Mikel actually listens when you ask for something. I requested a brighter light and they installed a spot lamp the next day, which was great. The place itself is a bit set back from the beach, and the property is tiny, but the staff helped me with everything I needed.

“Un hostel pour le sexe”

The location right by the sea is lovely, but the room itself was disappointing – beds had no curtains, and the bathroom was a mess with the shower and toilet side‑by‑side and water constantly pooling. Cleanliness of the guests was terrible (not the hostel’s fault, but still gross), and the constant flirtatious atmosphere made things feel uneasy. People were also sleeping all over the rooms, which was just off‑putting.
