Despite noticeable effort, the hotel didn't meet modern standards or expectations; the vibe feels outdated. It was clean, which mattered most. Breakfast only started at 8 am, even on a weekend, which was too late.

“Es waren für uns drei schöne Tage in Bad Homburg und im Hotel "Haus am Park"”

The hotel sits right across from the Kurpark and is only a few minutes (10‑15) from the city centre, where many restaurants and shops are located. My room faced the street, yet it was relatively quiet. We paid 105 € for two people and breakfast, and the facilities were acceptable. The rooms were clean, and there were no complaints about the bathroom, toilet, or shower. Breakfast was fine, though it could be improved in some ways; the selection of sausages and cheeses was simple but tasty, and we would have liked better quality rolls. Huge thanks to the staff who were on duty when we arrived, the young front‑desk attendant, and especially the “cook.” All three were very friendly and helpful. On the downside, some staff, particularly at the reception, were a bit grumpy, which didn’t leave a good impression. The outdoor area looked poorly maintained, with dried flower pots, weeds on the walkways and stairs, and neglected flower beds and lawns. We also had to criticize Saturday morning: the breakfast hall was full due to high occupancy, and the hotel management should have deployed more staff so that tables were covered and re‑set promptly, and drinks and platters were refilled faster. Guests were very dissatisfied, even though the “cook” tried hard to serve everyone quickly.

“ich bin nicht zufrieden”

The bed was not good. The breakfast was not good: the bread on the fridge wasn’t warmed, there was no fresh bread, and the coffee machine was broken.
