The cabin’s quiet and remote setting felt like a real escape, and the isolation was truly disconnection. I was disappointed, though, that the fireplace’s wood wasn’t included in the cabin price and I had to pay for it separately.

Breakfast was great, the location was peaceful and lovely, and it was a place to disconnect from city life, relax and read; the host was wonderful and very accommodating. I didn’t like that I got charged extra for my pet after I reserved, especially since I had ticked pet‑friendly accommodations only when I was looking for hotels.

Our host was fantastic and the breakfast hit the spot; the room was a dream with a comfy, pleasantly scented mattress and adorable pets keeping us company. The only downsides were not being told to bring our own drinking water, the cushion covers were dusty and smelled damp, and the stairs up to the guard rail lacked a safety railing.
