The food was tasty, but the location was poor because the construction was still ongoing.

All the staff were very helpful, but because the place was under renovation, the scaffolding made the exterior look a bit disappointing.

The location was great and the food was fantastic, both breakfast and dinner. The onsen was a huge, authentic experience, although the hotel itself was a bit worn. On the plus side, there was a free massage chair and a large, lovely foyer. The hotel was undergoing renovation, so the price was really good. A walk around the lake, with wild snowflakes and a huge waterfall, was simply amazing. The place smelled like sulfur, and you couldn’t get food without ordering in advance. The staff’s English was not the best.
