“It is definitely worth coming back again”

The highlight was the horse riding lessons; the coach was very patient and professional. The staff were nice and friendly, and the kids gradually built confidence during the class. The extra fire marshmallow experience was forgettable. Being up in the mountains, away from the city and work, with adorable dogs, a cat, and even a talking parrot keeping us company, made my heart feel suddenly peaceful. However, the room really needs an air conditioner, and the kitchen would benefit from having a dishwasher. The double bed is a bit small for larger guests, and it would be better if the sliding door had an extra security screen. These are minor issues that can be improved gradually and are easy to overlook compared with all the wonderful parts of the stay.

“First time at a farm stay, very cosy. Nice and close to where I wanted to be.”

It was my first time at a farm stay, and the setting was amazing. The accommodation was as expected—nice and warm. The only downside is that you need to be fit to get into and out of the loft bed.

The staff were friendly, but getting in and out of the bunk was difficult because the ladder is not very ergonomic.

I was disappointed by the lighting around my room—it was so bad I had to ask another guest if we could use the kitchen. The room itself had a stale smell from the early morning Equestrian classes, and the kitchen area was poorly lit with massive tripping hazards, so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone over 60. On the plus side, the location was remote and the parking was reasonably good.

“Wonderful relaxing time surrounded by horses and wildlife”

The setting was gorgeous, and the property itself was beautiful. The animals—dogs, a cockatoo, donkeys, and horses—were absolutely gorgeous and friendly, and the owners and staff were welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed a hot tub and a fire pit, and the fresh homemade picnic for two at Emerald Lake was delish. The donkey experience and reserve were the highlight of our stay.
