I booked a quick two‑night stay but ended up staying almost three weeks—no surprise, the vibe just pulls you in. The hostel feels like a family gathering: clean, air‑cooled, and the kitchen is fully stocked. It’s a stone’s throw from the beach, the main streets, supermarkets, restaurants, and even a surf shop right next door. The staff, especially the girls, are amazing—always planning group outings, from sunset watching to exploring the Tamarindo market.

The place is practically on the beach, and the kitchen has everything you could need. The courtyard is a nice spot to chill. The only downside is the bunk beds; they’re noisy at night and can be a bit of a hassle.

The hostel is right by the beach and a few restaurants away, and the volunteers are friendly and welcoming. I needed a cheap spot for one night, so it worked out. The room had two bunk beds, and I had to use the top one, but the ceiling was so low it felt a bit claustrophobic—so I asked for a different bed and they swapped it right away. The walls are thin, so you can hear other rooms, and I woke up to some late‑night noise that might have been animals or people.

“Excelente ubicación”

Overall, I had a solid stay—great location, super friendly staff, especially the volunteers, and I always felt safe. The only hiccup was that the silence hour wasn’t respected; the volunteers played loud music after 10 pm, and the laundry area looked a bit untidy.

The spot is insane—right on the water and everything else within walking distance. The women in the hostel are all great, and the coffee at the surf shop is solid. I felt totally safe, and the team builds a community vibe that’s missing in a lot of hostels. The only problem is storage: rooms don’t have enough space, lockers aren’t tied to beds, so people grab them wherever, which gets confusing and a bit annoying at night. The team says they’re working on it.
