I was completely immersed in Quebec culture because the rooms, which are well sound‑proofed, sit above the pub.

Good for a short stay. Nice pub downstairs. I expected a cleaner bed and room.

“It was a decent but not exceptional stay,”

The bed was comfy and the room had a decent size, though a TV would have been a nice addition. It was also super close to the train station. I didn’t realize there were no personal showers or bathrooms, and when I left I found a lot of dirt under the bed—crumbs that clearly weren’t mine.

The bathroom was shared, and I had no clue where to check in until I finally spotted the reception behind the bar. The space felt very cramped.

“Infernal”

Nothing positive to mention. I couldn’t sleep at night because of the music coming from the bar below, and to get to my room I had to pass through the bar. The hotel was poorly maintained, dirty, the air‑conditioning made too much noise, there was no TV in the room, the Wi‑Fi connection was terrible, it was too expensive for the type of hotel it is, and the list of complaints is very long… The rating should also include a deduction of –1, –2, … –5.
