Just 15 minutes from Savannah’s historic center, which makes it handy for short stays; the beds were comfortable, the room was tidy, and breakfast was basic. The door didn’t seal properly and some outside noise seeped in.

“Dirty, nasty place to stay…”

The room was filthy—floors, bathroom, and the smell made it clear the cleaning staff were untrained. The kitchenette had no cutlery, crockery, kettle, or anything to boil water for coffee. I didn’t sleep in the bed; I brought my own throw and used the couch, covering myself with bath towels. I avoided the dining room and free breakfast because I could only imagine how bad the kitchen was. The online photos seemed from the opening day; the actual place is nothing like that. I tried two rooms, both equally bad. The air‑con was a joke; the room was scorching unless you stood right in front of it, and there were no ceiling fans. What’s there to like???
