The Coast Motel in Timaru offers 11 rooms, including studios, apartments, and family rooms, catering to singles, couples, families, and business travelers. All ground-floor studio rooms are soundproofed and private. The 3-bedroom apartment is quiet and secluded. Located at the city end of Evans Street, it's a short walk to Caroline Bay, a top 10 New Zealand beach, and close to restaurants and the main street.

Very clean and tidy. The location is very convenient. Debbie was the best host—so friendly and helpful, going out of her way to assist us. 👏

It had on‑site parking and a smooth check‑in. The owners were pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean, but the décor and fittings looked tired, and there was an unpleasant lingering odor that might have come from past smokers. The apartment included a kettle, microwave, fridge, and a very comfortable bed, so we had everything we needed.

Helpful staff and comfortable beds. The kitchenette was very handy, but the TV didn’t have access to streaming apps.
